Goals for 2017

These are my goals for 2017 from my report card per class.   

WHICH ME WILL I BE? 

CLASS: HUMANITIES
STRENGTHS: 
Read and comprehend fiction

Research things
AREAS OF GROWTH: 
Extracting theme with fiction

Weaving symbolism into ALL my writing

GOAL/ GOALS: (Realistic, Action steps, Measure, Checkpoints, Specific/ Targeted goal): 

Find themes in my irt books

Write some stories with symbolism

2-3 ACTION STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL: 
After every (other) book I read, think of a theme in it. 

Write mini stories that have some symbolism- 1 every week

CLASS: SCIENCE
STRENGTHS: 
 Earthquakes

Sharing ideas
AREAS OF GROWTH:  

Challenging myself 

Finishing projects on time
 

GOAL/ GOALS: (Realistic, Action steps, Measure, Checkpoints, Specific/ Targeted goal): 
Working on assignments right after I get them

Watch videos Ms. Gulati sets as optional

2-3 ACTION STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL: 
Set reminders and notifications in Tiny Calendar each time I have to work on a project at home

Make proofs for my answers

Write a clear claim

Making my models clear and understandable

Remembering mean, mode, median, and range

Make clear models that even I can read  

Practice mean, mode, median, and range at home

2-3 ACTION STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL: 
In the homework only submit models that are understandable

Get practice problems every other day and find mean, mode, median, and range

I speak french confidently

 Focusing on grammar

Remembering accents

Do more Quizlet spelling

Do more quizlet flash cards

2-3 ACTION STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL: 
When we have to do Quizlet, not to do just Scatter but the other mini games/learning things too

Say more words aloud when learning them

STRENGTHS: 

Swimming strokes

Improving in the fitness stuff

 

AREAS OF GROWTH: 
Socializing with friends

Finding the same partner every time

 
GOAL/ GOALS: (Realistic, Action steps, Measure, Checkpoints, Specific/ Targeted goal): 
Sit away from my friends

Ask different people to be my partner

2-3 ACTION STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL: 
I will sit away from my friends and if I find myself near them, not talk to them

In the mile run ask someone else to be my partner

  

 CLASS: STRINGS
STRENGTHS: 

I listen carefully to instructions

I look at the conductor when playing my viola

AREAS OF GROWTH: 

Getting the notes accurate every time

Playing precisely with the other students with pizzicato

 
GOAL/ GOALS: (Realistic, Action steps, Measure, Checkpoints, Specific/ Targeted goal):  

Work on the fingerings of the notes (scales)

Listen to the SmartMusic accompaniment

2-3 ACTION STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL: 

Practice 10-15 minutes a day

Turn up the accompaniment and look at the notes
